Sara and Shane's engagement photos were so much fun to take! They decided they really wanted their home of Boulder, Colorado to be in their photos as well as their fun and spontaneous personalities (I believe we accomplished both!). When Sara and I were discussing their style and planning for the big day, she mentioned that they did not want kissing, cuddly photos.... once I got them together, they could not keep their hands off of each other and it was super cute!! I couldn't stop smiling from behind my camera. You can just see how happy they are together and how much they love each other. It ended up being beautiful weather and the lighting was perfect!! Sara is absolutely stunning with her long blonde hair and even longer legs. Here are a few of my favs from the day...

This week, my husband (Alvin "KID" Robinson) was invited to be part of something really neat! Valley View Christian Church in Littleton, CO was hosting their annual missions fair and the theme for 2011 was Ultimate Fighters For Christ (to honor their missionaries who are Ultimate Fighters for the kingdom). They went all out with this theme including borrowing a full size cage from Fight to Win promoter, Seth Daniels, and getting UFC veterans and MMA fighters Justin "The Viking" Wren, Alvin and Josh Copeland.

| A few photos from the night including Alvin showing one boy how to get a choke, signing autographs and Justin giving a play by play of Alvin and Josh's jiu-jitsu demonstration |
The night ended with everyone gathering around the cage, while Alvin and Josh did a demonstration. Justin recently had a back procedure done so he announced a play by play of the action. Then Justin gave his testimony which was amazing! He had a couple of kids come up to him afterwards crying because they found his story so moving. It was an awesome night and I felt priviledged to be a part of it!

I have decided to take the plunge and start my own blog!
I have to admit, I'm a bit concerned about being able to keep it up but I follow other photographer's blogs and LOVE to be able to see what they're up to and what shoots they've done recently. This will be a place for everyone to see what I'm up to and see how my skills continue to improve over time. All of my friends, family and friends of friends have been so kind in encouraging me and letting me know how much they enjoy my work.
I am learning that Photography, especially Portraiture, is a tough business! Everybody is their own worst critic and even if everyone else thinks they look amazing, they can find something wrong with themselves (I'm the same way!). Aside from the struggles of wanting to please everyone and of course the business/numbers side of things, Photography has been a true blessing to me and hopefully the lives of those who I photograph. I know God will work through my photography and help me give my models something that they, their families and friends will cherish for generations to come.
I have to give a special thanks to my husband, Alvin, for supporting me along the way... and not just supporting me... but actually encouraging me and even pushing me at times! He has been SO great and I can't thank him enough :)
